Your health and satisfaction remain our top priorities. Stay informed on key developments, best practices, and ongoing enhancements as we uphold our promise to deliver safe, high-quality products every day.

1. Food Safety Certification in December

We regularly send our store partners for government-accredited food safety courses, including new team members and those renewing their certifications through refresher programmes. This ensures our staff stay updated on best practices, providing our customers with the safest and highest-quality products.

In December 2024, 48 store partners received their Food Handling Certificates and Workforce Skills Qualification in Food Hygiene Certificates in Malaysia and Singapore respectively!  Our store partners learnt best practices for food handling, preparation, and storage, including proper cleaning of tools, equipment, and surfaces to prevent bacteria.

CHAGEE will continue to invest in rigorous food safety training to ensure our team is equipped with the knowledge and skills to protect our customers' health. By prioritising education and maintaining the highest hygiene standards, we strive to deliver the premium tea experience that CHAGEE is known for. Your trust means everything to us, and we will continue raising the bar in food safety and product excellence across all our outlets.

2. Audit Measures

CHAGEE has a regional SWAT team of auditors who inspect stores across Southeast Asia in their glamourous gears of lighting beam, thermometer and pocket camera.

In December 2024, all 147 stores were audited. The highest score for food safety was 96.19, and for product quality was 97.92. The CHAGEE operations teams are working closely with store partners to improve the food safety and product quality of our offerings.

3. In-store Audit Findings

Examples of the improvements made in-stores following the audit:

Issue: Items in the fridge are packed too closely to the wall and vents of the chiller, which disrupts proper air circulation in the fridge.

Measures Taken: All items are to be stored at least 2 cm away from the wall fridges to allow consistent air circulation of the fridge.

4. Food Safety Measures

We sanitise our equipment and utensils every night to ensure they are free of contaminants. All equipment and utensils are fully cleansed again with warm water every morning.
