March marks another month of steady progress as CHAGEE continues to reinforce the foundations of food safety and product quality across our operations. Through ongoing audits, targeted training, and strengthened operational discipline, our teams remain committed to upholding the highest standards in every outlet. Each improvement and corrective action reflects our shared responsibility to ensure that every cup of CHAGEE tea is prepared in a safe, hygienic, and consistent environment.
1. Food Safety & Product Quality Training
In March, CHAGEE continued to strengthen capabilities through a combination of internal training and external certification programmes, ensuring our teams are equipped with both practical and regulatory knowledge. Training efforts focused on enhancing food safety awareness, audit competency, and operational excellence at the outlet level.
Approximately 100 partners across the region completed training this month, including participation in government-recognised food safety courses as well as CHAGEE’s internal audit skills training. These programmes are designed to reinforce compliance with regulatory requirements while building strong internal capabilities in identifying risks, maintaining product quality, and delivering consistent customer service.
Through this structured approach, CHAGEE continues to ensure that all partners uphold the highest standards in food safety, product quality, and customer experience across our operations.
2. Audit Measures
Routine audits continued across APAC outlets to assess compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and reinforce best practices. These audits served not only as a compliance check, but also as a coaching platform—supporting outlets in strengthening execution and building confidence in daily operations.
Audit findings were addressed promptly, with immediate corrective actions taken where necessary, reinforcing accountability and continuous improvement at the outlet level.
3. In-store Audit Findings
Improvements made in stores following the audits:
Issue 1: Stain observed underneath the sealer ring
Measures Taken:
The audit finding was shared with the partner on the spot, and immediate rectification was carried out by thoroughly cleaning the area underneath the sealer ring. Partners were reminded to pay close attention to concealed or hard-to-reach parts of equipment during routine cleaning to prevent residue buildup and ensure overall hygiene standards are maintained.
Issue 2: Stain observed at the chiller door frame of the automated tea maker machine
Measures Taken:
The issue was highlighted to the partner on the spot, and immediate corrective action was taken by cleaning the affected area. Partners were reminded to include equipment door frames and surrounding surfaces as part of their regular cleaning routine to maintain cleanliness and prevent accumulation of dirt or residue.

4. Food Safety & Product Quality Measures
1) Daily Checking and Calibration of Automated Tea Maker Machines
To maintain product consistency and quality, automated tea maker machines are checked and calibrated daily to ensure the accurate dispensing of ingredients according to CHAGEE’s standard recipes. Regular verification helps prevent over or under dispensing, ensuring that every beverage is prepared with the correct proportions while maintaining consistent taste and quality across all outlets.
2) Proper Use and Storage of Food Contact Towels
To uphold strict hygiene standards, only designated red edge towels are used for cleaning food contact surfaces. These towels must be stored in a clearly labelled container when not in use to ensure they remain clean and free from contamination. This practice helps prevent cross contamination and ensures that surfaces involved in beverage preparation are maintained in a safe and hygienic condition.
5. Fun Facts about Tea
Hojicha Genmai is a comforting tea made from roasted green tea leaves and toasted brown rice.
It has a warm, nutty fragrance and a smooth, mellow flavor.
The roasting process brings out a gentle sweetness while the rice adds a subtle, toasty like note.
The resulting flavour is light and soothing, making it a great choice as the beverage of choice to wind down in the evening.
As we conclude March, CHAGEE remains steadfast in our commitment to upholding the highest standards of food safety and product quality across all outlets. Through consistent training, proactive audits, and continuous improvements in daily operations, our teams continue to strengthen the foundations that support safe and reliable beverage preparation. These ongoing efforts reflect our dedication to safeguarding customer trust and ensuring that every cup of CHAGEE tea is crafted with care, consistency, and uncompromising quality.
