February marks a month of continued discipline and refinement at CHAGEE, as our teams across the APAC region focus on strengthening daily execution and reinforcing food safety fundamentals. With heightened awareness on hygiene, operational readiness, and product consistency, we remain committed to safeguarding every step of our tea preparation process. Through structured audits, targeted training, and proactive risk management, we continue to build a strong foundation that supports safe operations and consistent quality across all outlets.
1. Food Safety & Product Quality Training
In February, training efforts shifted from a regional approach to a more country-focused execution model, strengthening local ownership and accountability. Structured refresher sessions were conducted in both Singapore and Malaysia, focusing on reinforcing food safety fundamentals, operational discipline, and product consistency at the outlet level.
A total of 86 partners completed the training this month, equipping teams with practical knowledge on hygiene control, ingredient management, and equipment sanitation. This transition towards country-led implementation ensures that training remains targeted, responsive to local operational needs, and closely aligned with CHAGEE’s uncompromising standards in food safety and product quality.
2. Audit Measures
Routine audits continued across APAC outlets to assess compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and reinforce best practices. These audits served not only as a compliance check, but also as a coaching platform—supporting outlets in strengthening execution and building confidence in daily operations.
Audit findings were addressed promptly, with immediate corrective actions taken where necessary, reinforcing accountability and continuous improvement at the outlet level.
3. In-store Audit Findings
Improvements made in stores following the audits:
Issue 1: Stain observed on the storage rack
Measures Taken:
The audit finding was shared with the partner on the spot, and immediate rectification was carried out by cleaning and removing the stain from the storage rack. Partners were reminded to conduct regular cleaning and visual checks of storage racks to maintain cleanliness and prevent dirt accumulation.
Issue 2: Stain observed at the water tap
Measures Taken:
The audit finding was highlighted to the partner on the spot, and immediate corrective action was taken by thoroughly cleaning the affected area. Partners were reminded to pay closer attention to high-touch and frequently used areas such as water taps during routine cleaning to ensure hygiene standards are consistently upheld.
4. Food Safety & Product Quality Measures
1) Immediate Stirring and Foam Removal from Tea Base
To preserve the quality and flavour of every batch, tea bases are immediately stirred after brewing, which accelerates cooling and captures the optimum tea profile. In addition, foam is carefully removed during this process to prevent oxidation during storage. This practice ensures that each cup maintains the intended aroma, taste, and consistency, reflecting CHAGEE’s commitment to premium product quality.
2) Internal Shelf Life Monitoring of Ingredients
All in-store ingredients, including tea bases and milk, are monitored according to CHAGEE’s internal shelf life guidelines. At CHAGEE, we strictly monitor the shelf life of all ingredients to ensure that every item used meets our safety and freshness standards, safeguarding both food safety and customer satisfaction.
5. Fun Facts about Tea
During festive celebrations, tea is more than just a drink — it becomes a comforting companion that brings people together. Amid joyful reunions and tables filled with festive delights, a warm or freshly brewed cup of tea offers balance and renewal.
After enjoying rich and hearty dishes, tea provides a light and refreshing contrast, helping to cleanse the palate and restore a sense of freshness. Varieties such as jasmine or oolong are especially appreciated for their smooth, aromatic profiles that complement festive meals without feeling heavy.
Whether shared at home with loved ones or enjoyed at CHAGEE with friends, tea remains a simple yet meaningful ritual during celebrations — offering warmth, refreshment, and connection in every cup.
At CHAGEE, food safety and product quality are not seasonal priorities but daily responsibilities embedded in our culture. Each improvement, inspection, and corrective action reflects our shared commitment to protecting customer trust and delivering excellence without compromise. As we move forward, we will continue to strengthen our standards, empower our teams, and uphold the practices that ensure every cup of CHAGEE tea is crafted with care, confidence, and consistency.
