Strengthening Foundations: CHAGEE’s September Food Safety & Product Quality Report
September has been a month of consolidation and progress at CHAGEE. Following the successful grand opening of three outlets in the Philippines in August, our footprint in the APAC region continues to grow, bringing both new opportunities and greater responsibility to uphold the highest standards in food safety, product quality, and customer experience. In this month, we focused on strengthening routine practices and introducing audit enhancements that ensure consistency and excellence in every cup.
1. Food Safety & Product Quality Training
Training is the foundation of consistent quality across our expanding network of outlets. In this month, we continued to equip our team members with essential knowledge through:
- In-house training sessions focusing on food safety protocols, proper ingredient handling, and quality control measures.
- Customer service workshops designed to enhance the CHAGEE experience through attentive and professional interactions.
- Government-accredited courses to strengthen compliance with local regulatory requirements.
Special attention was given to supporting the launch of three new outlets in the Philippines, where newly onboarded partners underwent comprehensive training ahead of the grand opening. These sessions covered CHAGEE’s core standards in food safety, product quality, and customer service, ensuring that from day one, our Filipino customers experienced the same consistency and excellence enjoyed across the APAC region.
So far, 78 partners have completed refresher sessions this month, in addition to the Philippines team, keeping our expanding network aligned with CHAGEE’s high standards.
2. Audit Measures
In August 2025, the CHAGEE APAC audit team continued to monitor performance across our outlets through monthly audit inspections:
Outlets also received tailored coaching sessions to reinforce food safety principles and raise awareness of detail-oriented practices that drive both customer satisfaction and product quality. Through the implementation of our holistic audit and coaching approach, we stand alongside our outlets to progressively enhance food safety, product quality, and customer service, ensuring that every customer enjoys perfection in every cup of CHAGEE tea we craft.

3. In-store Audit Findings
Improvements made in stores following the audits:
Issue: Grease trap cover was not closed securely during operations.
Measures Taken: The audit finding was shared with the partner on the spot, and immediate rectification was carried out by ensuring the cover was properly closed. Partners were also reminded that grease trap covers must remain closed at all times to prevent odours, pests, and potential contamination.
Issue: Cleaning tools, such as mops, were not stored properly by hanging them on the wall. Measures Taken: The audit finding was highlighted to the partner on the spot, and immediate rectification was made by properly hanging the mops in the designated storage area. Partners were reminded that all cleaning tools must be stored correctly to maintain hygiene and prevent cross-contamination.
4. Food Safety & Product Quality Measures
1) To ensure food safety and prevent contamination, the ice maker and ice storage bin lids must be closed immediately after ice is taken. Leaving the lids open exposes the ice to potential contaminants such as dust, foreign objects, or bacteria, which can compromise hygiene and product quality. By keeping the lids securely closed at all times, we maintain the cleanliness and safety of the ice used in beverage preparation, ensuring every cup of CHAGEE tea meets our high standards of safety and quality.
2) Each outlet must complete a daily checklist to ensure key food safety and quality standards are met. Examples of daily checklist tasks include checking chiller temperatures, rinsing utensils and tools, and maintaining general cleanliness in the outlet. A consistent checklist helps outlets stay safe, efficient, and ready to deliver quality every day.
